Camping & boat launch in devon

Hello, can anybody offer suggestions for Whit week. We are planning to head down towards Teignmouth / Torquay at whit do some camping and have a play on our RIB. We would ideally like an assisted launch (our van would struggle on a beach or shale slip) or a secure mooring for the weekend. With camping nearby.

Thanks

Torquay has a great slipway, that I suspect the van will be ok on - my Astra is.

We stayed at one of the Beverly Park sites last time we went down ( but didn't have the boat with us). I suspect that there are other sites that will eb happy with the boat - if Beverly isn't.

Alternatively drift down a bit further and use Plymouth. Loads of options around that patch with camping and slipways fine for cars / vans.

Teignmouth

+1 for Teignmouth

I go with the boys down to Teignmouth, camp or rent a static, launch on the slipway at the side of the abp ports, it's the slip near to the bridge, nice and wide and gives you time to get organised before you and your crew go out to sea.

We normally stay at coast view camp site on the babacombe road up from shaldon.

Not the ritz but still ok and looks across the bay

Agree Teignmouth is great...Polly Steps.

Have a caravan at Woodbury near exmouth, so it's a short drive and once launched straight out to sea
