Vango AirBeam? Tents - Infatable AirBeam? tents

Any use? Brace yourself for the price though.

Another vote for Vango Airbeam, superb quality, easy to put up but stupidly expensive and not the smallest packed. For a smaller package, but equally good quality, look at a Vango Tigris or Icarus.

Best campsite is the one next door to Mercury Yacht Harbour

Riverside Holidays , Hamble Campsites, Hampshire

Agree with the Vango choices I have a sigma 3 and its easy to erect and does the job.
I love camping while out on a rib

Still looking at doing Piel Island.

To be honest, if you're not going to buy an airbeam and you want it to go up fast, get a couple of 3 or 4 man popup tents.

I've got a cracking 3 man popup tent for boating, but unfortunately it's an unbranded one that I can't even find an image of.

I have this version of the pop up tent and it has been awesome. The link i attached above is for the better one with more head room in the corners.

Our camping locations are a secret so you either need to PM me or join sib club

Here is a pic of my tent on our ribnet camping cruise to the island

Free camping too

I like that. Needs to come further over the tubes though or it'd get wet under there.

Aren't they more commonly known as liferafts?

Getting serious again, I have a Vango somethingorother. Usual "2 man tent sleeps 1 comfortably" job, but it takes 5 mins to put up (even in a wind), is about 18" long x 6" diameter when folded and clocks in at 2KG.

If you want to go down the multiple small route let me know & I'll go read the flysheet so I can tell you what it is.....

Two of us spent 10 days sleeping under this in 1995 during a rib camping trip Alan Priddy organised to the Channel Islands. Photo taken in St Helier Marina. That is Kermit the famous BMW we are tied on the outside of, because the damn thing was sinking having had the front 4 feet of tubes separate from the hull.

We wedged a lilo along each side of the jockey console and bottle rack which worked quite well. Showered each day in the marina and ate ashore each day. We did have a little camping stove with us and set it up on the pontoon. Someone opposite in a large gin palace asked if we had petrol on board, so I said yes about 60 gallons in various containers - suddenly a boiled kettle was passed down to us to make tea with rather than light the stove
