capturing Youtube videos

Has anybody on here had any success with any of these programs that are supposed to capture Flash streaming video from Youtube etc?

I have tried a couple and they simply don't work. Having re-found one of the best bits of ocean related video I have seen - the Marejada tug

http://www.splashvision.com/Video/15...Ocean-Tug.html

I want to save it in the collection in case it disappears again!

Preferably something that works with Firefox rather than IE, I did read that you could save these streams from within FF but that doesn't work either.

go to

http://keepvid.com/

Very easy.

saves them as .flv

If you need an excellent player that will handle anything

http://filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/

Just discovered keepvid prob won't handle splashvision.

I was the one who originally posted this video link on here - wished I had saved it. Youtube removed it due to copyright on the music - stupid really as it can only encourage sales - I had never heard of that music until I saw it on the net!!!

Try Download helper, it's an add on for firefox.

I found it works very well and is very easy to use.
