Caveat emptor

Prompted by a post on this forum, I looked on Amazon and eBay for a blower that produced a greater volume than the cheap blower that I already have thinking the less time spent inflating the sib the better.

This came up on eBay as a Makita blower:-

Obviously at such a low price it can't be genuine, it may be a perfectly good blower, but it pisses me off that some people would get fooled by it thinking it's the genuine article. So I got on my high horse and reported it to eBay.

This is the reply I got:-

With Trump due to be sworn in soon, you can forget Facebook signing up to any kind of code. They are getting rid of their third party fact-checkers.

In early January there was a series of ads from ScotRail where you could win or buy a £2 SmartCard for free rail travel anywhere in Scotland. People were happily signing up to a fake site divulging name, email and probably birth date. I raised it with Facebook, but they were slow to respond. Standard reply - waste of time.
