Chinese rugged smartphones?
Anyone got/used one? I'm specifically looking at either a Moxiv M8,Somin A8 or a Mann Zug 3.

Pal of mine has a Moxiv, and it's a bit chunky, he's now ordered a Lenovo S750, which is similar spec (ip67) but retains the looks of a regular smartphone.

Chunky is good-it's for a backup that can be slung under seats etc and abused.
I don't suppose he wants to sell it does he?

I'll ask, but I suspect it'll be a no.

Fair enough-it was the Mann I was primarily looking at, but not having to wait for Chinese shipping would have been a bonus.

He's given it to the apprentice.
Chinese shipping isn't always bad. My wife bought a phone case from there on a monday, it arrived on the Thursday.

No worries. I found a UK ebay seller who had the MANN in stock, so gone with that. It should make returning it easier if there's issues.

I got on ok with mine (non smart version), got fed up with the lack of phone book space otherwise I suspect I'd still have one.
