Christmas Greetings
Well it's about that time again to wish members a Happy Christmas and rewarding New Year.
Let's hope the boating gift pile is generous, even if you did have to buy the stuff yourself.
Note: If it's not your thing remember it's only two days of the year.
Take care all.

You say that and yet I've been looking at a Christmas tree since 11 November...

Merry Christmas to all you fellow Ribnetters & your families, and here's hoping for a 2025 with weekends of sun, calmish seas and no gales

I said last year I wouldnt be putting together our imitation 6ft xmas tree again like I have for the last 40yrs. So there is no tree this year in our house, except that I had a last minute declaration of no xmas lunch if there is no tree from 2 daughters who were supposed to take the load off by cooking for us this xmas.
So looks like unless I cut off my nose to spite my face I will be struggling in the loft this morning to get the tree down and assembled in time to save lunch!
Happy days everyone.

I must admit we like a full decorate and were slightly disappointed when my folks decided in their 80s it was all too much faff so reduced to an 18” pop up tree on the TV table and two bits of tinsel on the pictures above.

The boating gift pile was very good from my kids, and yes the suggestions did come from me!

Excellent Steve. I had mainly gin and music. I am at that somewhat sad place in that I have all the boat and clothing sorted and there is no excuse to buy or receive anything else in the near future*.
*Note I'll take that back if I buy anything new through 2025.

Liberating I would have thought, not sad.
Curiously, Steve got the same sh1t as me - a REALLY nice torch and the promise of Rockboots when I turn the clock in February.
