There may be a thread on this programme already. If so, apologies!

But it's a watchable programme, a bit scrappy but nice shots of the Scillies and other beauty spots.

Interesting one about all that rocket launching on the Isle of Wight!
You Wighties are exceptionally brainy!

Some interesting facts about Black Pool too. I shall be buying some Viking horns and a Union Flag for Pauls Geko.

IKB made a special trip to Ireland to present Captain James Hoskens with the most prestigious and sought after award.....Believed to be the first recipient....

Controversial maybe - but is the entire island of Ireland actually still part of the Brisith Isles??

Hehehehe

Some funny comments & posts

The Isles we inhabit are indeed not yet known geographically as the 'Irish Isles' or 'Ireland and her Dominions' Nauti & Nice!!!

In the political sphere there's no forgetting about the existence of the Republic of Ireland which is mainly a theme park for our American cousins who expect to see lads & lasses doing Riverdance at the crossroards before cooking potato bread over the turf fire and later putting out to sea in Galway Bay in Currachs instead of big plastic boats with blow-up collars...

Only jokin

'Tis the Celtic thing

Robin you have to surrender that award for the Crimbo do.

The biggest muck-up of 2006 still to be decided but all suggestions welcome.

To explain a little further for those who have not read the Report -

Other famous beachings (as well as the GB) & engineering feats include

Paul, Robin and Tony trying to exit from Ryde which involved a burly pair lying on the nose of the RIB and trying to bounce it out (thereby sharpening a prop in the process!)
(The Hightower designed RIB Tickler Award 2005)

The attempts to lift Pete 7's Pac off Priory Bay sands; a brave effort which would have IKB beaming with approval...

Best excuse : from the skipper of the GB 'my chart was out of date'
