Is Codders Fluxommed? or at RIBEX?

It sounds like what they are describing is a technique that basically allows the light being reflected from an object in a target zone i.e recieves light from the playing card and reflects it to the camera to be processed in such a way as to enable the object to be regarded as a mirror regardless of its reflecting properties.

Now that will have ladies changing room designers in quandry!

You have described it perfectly - basically - like most scientists - they are describing something pretty simple in a complex way.

To be honest NOTHING is really complex or difficult if it is explained correctly - it is also amazing how little NEW there really is out there - just new applications of centuries old ideas.

For example even the Ancient Greeks new that matter was made up of small indivisible particles and managed to measure the circumference of the Earth to quite an accurate degree.
