I dont think someone from the forum would set you up for something like that, whilst there is an element of pisstaking people are sensible. I suspect the reason for email "attacks" on this forum, is because you have taken forever to get a boat, so i dont think people believe you anymore.

As example we are still waiting for pictures , i do realise that it takes some time to get a boat. Also a while back we had emails about training, i told you what training i had done as an example, we asked for yours so we could advise on the training that would help you become endorsed, again no answer............................................ you leave yourself open every time.

P.S get a sensible girlfriend, i had one like yours,,,,,, i dont have any money now

Ode to Codders

Codprawn came from deepest Wales
And exacerbated everyone with his tall tales
He told everyone that he would buy a RIB
But really it was only a big fib

He spends his days in front of his computer
While driving 160000 miles as a commuter.
He has so many mates it is unreal but somehow I do feel
That really his best mate is Mr Righthand
And its favourite place is on his gland

Des

I don't have ANY training YET - thought I had made that clear??? I also thought I had thanked people for their advice???

As to taking forever to get my boat there have been all sorts of unforseen problems - very few of them my fault!!! However I am prepared to wait as long as it takes because I can't afford to pay £45k for a similar specced Scorpion!!!

So I suggest that anyone who thinks anybody could be sad or stupid enough to spin something out like this for so long to just SHUT UP and give me a break - I just don't need all this crap - I am quick enough to praise other people's boat or try to help if I can -when I DO take the time and trouble to post some pics that I think will be of interest nobody even bother's to reply!!!

Phil, nice of you..........

.............to post a picture of your girlfriend

Actually, it was not all that long ago that we thought P D was a bit of a spinner ! Why ? Well, we'd known him for some time both on the forum and through meeting him at the occasional "cruise", throughout this period he had advised that his reason for heading north every weekend was to meet his "girlfriend" in Anglesey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This story played out each and every time we met however, we never actually met the "girlfriend" until one day, during a cruise up the Menai, Phil introduced us to his "friend" - Tim Are you with me thus far my dear reader ?

This of course arose suspicions

Anyway, some months later we did actually meet his girlfriend, Gaynor and a very nice lass she is too.

However, just because P D was unable to show us a picture, drag his girlfriend onto the forum or to every cruise, did not mean that he - sorry I mean she - did not exist. So, lets cut old codders a little slack, at least for the time being. If his RIB does not materialise before the end of this season then let the dogs loose upon his tall story telling hide

Well articulated as ever, Graeme. I for one have little doubt that Codders is having a RIB built and, despite what he thinks, I find him a good sport and enjoy reading his rants on a wide range of topics, even if he is a bitter and twisted old sod who frequents all-night internet cafes until 2.50am and has a penchant for the odd slight exaggeration or three.

He now takes what has become a mountain of piss-taking in very good spirit and, like his girlfriend, exhibits many of the traits of a feisty Jack Russell, although one hopes he doesn't take a leak up every tree he walks past in Swansea or attempt to crush rats with one blow of his jaw. Perhaps his biggest failing is his extraordinary inability to sense quite how well he sets himself up for a good pasting in what, as we well know, is a veritable bull ring of wags and clowns.

Inevitably parallels will be drawn to a former member of the forum and bullshitter extraordinaire, 'Crazyhorse', who interestingly also purported to be having a large RIB built, which in his case never actually materialised, and I suspect much of the mickey taking directed towards Codders is in part attributable to the same. It is with eager anticipation, then, that we await the arrival, in July, of Codders' new RIB, perhaps earlier if his hostile take-over bid for Microsoft Corporation is successful or if one of his many plutocrat mates proffers him a sizeable advance. Until then, Graeme, even I will desist from ragging CP and wish him every success with his helicopter lessons and Formula 1 training programme. Who knows, we may even one day get to see photos of his mate from the Special Boat Squadron driving his RIB up a beach in the Maldives while his other friend from the James Bond production set hangs purposefully out of his helicopter with a video camera ready to post a non-streaming video of the whole escapade on Ribnet, which can only be viewed by those of us with 4MB download connections.

Long live Codders, and may he continue to play an integral role in this splendid forum.

Thank you for those kind comments, Des. Perhaps you'd like to pass those on to my current MD who, at a recent trade exhibition, had someone complain to him that 'the trouble with Phil Davies is that he has no fire in his belly and doesn't give a f*ck'. And this time I'm not jesting What he fails to realise of course is that I am in fact descended from white Russian aristocracy on my mother's side who were forced to flee their homeland from the communists in 1917; as such I was never destined to work and it is merely because my inconsiderate forebears squandered their wealth over the course of several decades that I find myself compelled to participate in the turgid drudgery of corporate life and the bollocks that is office politics

I always pass that off as reserved professionalism 'onest guv it lets me see thing more clearly'

As to not being cut out for work, I have exactly the same problem My solution is that after being the only bread winner in the family for 14 years it is my wife and kids turn, so wife on the streets and kid up the chimney Des
