So guys, we managed some 1300 views in one week on this subject. Expected more, but JK must be happy- it may even be a record. So what does it show ( with apologies to Jean Paul Belmondo in the film L'Heritier
- " I want a scandel every day- true or false - It makes people read the newspapers"
But in all truthfulness you should understand, dear reader that all the info that I posted came from the public domaine and the only way the '"all looney love dating" site had the info on CP was because CP himself gave it when he was desparately seeking romance ( pathetic!!!)

Without wishing to defend Codprawn (as he is more than capable of digging his own holes thank you very much), but what is pathetic about internet dating in your oh so opinionated eyes?

Fair comment, Alan. I can't see it's any different to arranging to meet up with ribsters off the forum. I've met some great people, and MeMe, as a result of cruises organised here. Naturally, I have no desire to buy them dinner or indeed to invite them back for coffee afterwards

And YOU have proof of that do you??? The "ONLY" way???
"Desperately seeking romance"??? Yeah right - people who REALLY know me would tell you that I have no intention of settling down for a good while yet - Peter Stringfellow is my role model.............
On the other hand a mate of mine HAS started using online dating in the hope he will meet someone nice to keep him company and help him bring up his 2 little girls after his wife died in a car accident - is he also "pathetic"???
I think your comments are offensive in the extreme!!!

Your comments on internet dating are likely to be found offensive in the extreme to anyone who has met their partner/girlfriend/wife by this method of communication, and to their friends, family and colleagues. This is the 21st century in case you haven't noticed.
I almost typed that it's more sad to have met in a night club... but then I realised that's how Louise and I met, which is strange 'cos we're not night club people!
C'mon eupa, show a bit of tolerance and respect, and don't expect everyone to be from the same mould.

Which begs the question, has anyone ever... with someone they met on RIBnet?

I'm trying to conjure an image of Richard in full 'Saturday night fever' get up and mercifully failing

Yeah, but that was only after the doorman had turned him away when he arrived in his Ravenspring and Geko
