Coffin Wanted!

Has anyone got a Coffin lying about that they could lend me for a couple of days please?

I don't mind collecting it, but would prefer somewhere local (Fareham).

Halloween is over isn't it?

If it is for a prop you could easily make one something like often shown in the wild west...of the USA that is.

haha, i actually have a coffin in my attic that i made out of old pallets for halloween, its dog rough to look at but youre welcome to it. ive not yet managed to get myself a real one - all the ones ive had dealings with have been 'in use'!

Loving your replies guys! lol

My daughter wants to shoot a short movie for her Media course and it involves a coffin (don't ask!) I said that I'd put out some feelers and see if i could borrow one from someone local. I'm not sure if it's worth the effort of making one from scratch but thought a post on here might generate some humor.

Next step is to approach some funeral directors and ask if something could be done "in-house".

i think most funeral directors have a screwed up sense of humour 'behind the scenes' so as long as you ask in an appropriate manner you may well get what youre after. if you do get to borrow one then there is a good chance that it wont have handles fitted or any lining as these are chosen by family. good luck, and let us know how you get on!
