What told you about this problem?

I suspect the 67 is a port number which is commonly used. The address is prob your own router.

Go to

http://www.grc.com/default.htm

and click on shields up.

go to proceed and it will test your security. A briiliant site and very safe and well respected.

try running adaware and spybot as well.

ip adress

Hi

196.168.something

Is you own network. So if you have more then one computer connected behind your router/firewall then it might just be that computer trying to "attack" yours.

the last part of the ip. ie. 2.1 sugest that it might be your own router, but you could check this, if you from your own computer go to a dos windows and write : ipconfig /all

And then look for the ipnumber of the gateway, the gateway ipnumber is your router.

regards
Rene

It's a local address. As Codders said, almost certainly the address of Tim's router and not actually the source of the attack/intrusion.

Tim, if you tell us more about how you got the warning then maybe someone can help a bit more.

John

Just a bit of info....Belkin routers use this address. If you type it into your url field and then press enter you should get your router's login page. Default name and password is usually admin and admin but you should have been requested to choose a name and/or password when you installed it. You did store it somewhere, didn't you? Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1 as do many others.

Should have mentioned, you may need to have administrator privileges set up on your account. Easy to do: Start>settings>control panel>user accounts and investigate.

Fair enough. I thought it might be an anti-spyware scam. There's loads about.
