What a DEAD interesting idea, I was making some toast but then realised I had CREMATED it, the fumes got me COFFIN, HELL it was bad. I went to the bedroom to wake up my wife, she looked like a CORPSE and it was DEADLY silent. I went outside and BURIED the toast, before I went to work in my old HEARSE, I took the same route past the GRAVEYARD and FUNERAL DIRECTORS going up MEMORIAL LANE past the CEMETARY missing the DEAD end. There were some lovely FLOWERS in the MEMORIAL GARDENS and the TOMBSTONES were glinting in the sun, I saw the PRIEST saying a PRAYER at the gate and wondered if he was about to have a CHURCH SERVICE as the CONGREGATION seemed to arriving in FUNERAL CARS with the NEXT OF KIN and RELATIVES dressed in BLACK, pulling up outside the CREMATORIUM in FUNERAL CARS. As I drove off I saw a new shop which was advertising half price EMBALMING for a limited tme only, it seemed very odd as the building used to be a CHAPEL OF REST before becoming a massage parlor.

Hope this helps your research

Sober again. But all the adds are still for marine products. So I assume that its the site not the key words that trigger adds

It seems to be a bit of both. The Google software clearly "knows" that this is a RIB/boating site in general, but it does serve ads related to individual threads too.

It's dynamic, and can change from view to view. Sometime it takes a while to catch up with the specific content, so you may see RIB related ads initially before it tunes into the actual thread. At the moment I am seeing ads for "Living trusts" which are indeed related to death.

A thread devoted to sausages eventually brought up adverts for sausage making kits, but after a while it changed back to RIB adverts.

At the moment I am mostly seeing adverts for magnetic climbing walls and dolls houses. Not quite sure where they're coming from!

John

Looks like it's working now - genealogy and ancestors links showing. No funeral services or necrophilia fortunately (does Google put a 'clean' filter on the ads or is that an option?)

Oops, just gone back - now you can buy personalised bereavement cards and create a memorial website.
