Stick it into we buy any car.com & see what pops up. Whatever they value it at, is the minimum it's worth.

To be honest I don't rate it at £15k and I don't rate it at £10k either. My comment was tongue in cheek anyway.
Learnt a lot about potential values on here. Thanks guys.

What did the Defender sell for in the end?
I've been looking for a Defender 90 and prices for the TD5 in good condition seem to be on the up.
I already have a 2005 110 Station Wagon which l paid £13,750 for three months ago.
The 110 is absolutely unmarked and has done 56,000 miles.

My guess is that late model (300tdi onwards) Defender prices will peak this year due to the production of new ones ending.
It has gone a bit silly at the moment. Land Rover introduced three special editions last month, priced at £30-60,000.
They all sold out immediately.
It can't last for ever. There are so many Land Rovers around (70% of the total production from 1949 is still either on the road or in barns etc) and there are loads of good ones....if you look for them. There are loads of bad ones too!

That must be a conversion Tony, the 300tdi didn't come out until the mid 90's surely

I had several valuations from stealers around £10k, without even looking at it. They would have sold it on at around £14k. In the end my dad gave it to my sister for the grand sum of f**k all, so everyone was happy.

Was original the turbo engine which wasn't that good unlike the 300tdi which is bomb proof

Absolutely, both desirable but the 90 definitely the more popular and stronger money

110's make good money but they have to be minters, and for some reason there's less of these around than good 90's.
