JW,
My wife tells me that you should use talcolm powder, that stops the glue getting sticky in the 'hot spots' e.g. chest area
Anyway it looks like I will be on a ban from JK, but what the hell I have had a wonderful afternoon on the Le Shuttle, now back testing the proceeds of the trip. I am with a Pal who is down visiting from Kilmarnock. his Catsuite has been OK since he started using powder, try it.
Pete

Dear John K,
Please dont Ban Flanker he is a great guy and although he has cocked up bye bying a glastron insted of a rib, everybodys got to learn and he will one day buy a rib hopefully.
Some of his Posts have been helpfull and I for one like seeing him getting a good Bolliking as you know.
I am all for getting down to busness but maybe there be there should be a section where we can talk live to each other and therefore not get into trouble for making daft remarkes off subject.
Come Back Flanker and get a good bollicking thats what I want.
Then I want to hear about all his Mishaps he is going to have in that Glastron of his trying to keep up with the ribs.It will be a good read.
Please please let Flanker come Back.

Dear JK
Please do not ban Flanker. He is a nice guy and his comments are just innocent jokes (I take them like that any way).
I think that carzyhorse's idea of a live talk area where we all can say something daft should be in your plans for next year. Something like Yahoo messenger or Pal Talk.
Is just NEW YEARS day be grasefull and pardon Falnker this ONE TIME!!

Should he stay or should he go?
Pete aka Flanker has taken up more admin time than anyone else on the forum.
I have been very patient with him, explained gently where he is going wrong, and asked (implored) him to keep his messages on topic and to think twice before posting.
A bit of humour does help a forum, but pointless wisecracks of dubious taste don't make interesting reading though. My general thoughts about running the forums are in a separate message at http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1529
In fact, I would ask eveyone just to think twice before they click that "Submit" button, and check to see if it's really going to be useful or funny!
When it gets to the stage where, despite several requests and a temporary suspension, Pete writes yet another pointless message followed by "Anyway it looks like I will be on a ban from JK, but what the hell", why should I bother?
John

Free the bromley one!
IMHO Pete's heart is in the right place, it's just a pity about the brain. As per carzyhorse, I too enjoy seeing Flanker getting a flannelling. Perhaps we ought to start a "Free the Bromley one" poll.
p.s. Carzyhorse, yor speeling his krap too.

STOP !
OK guy's,
I think this banning could be a bit too heavy. Please go to www.gsclubuk.net/ and look at the BB there. It is the same software that drives this site but has a pub forum for general chat etc. and a joke forum. Just maybe we are getting a little serious here.... All work and no play etc etc.
Now I will press the submit button.

OK, i'm feeling a bit naughty 'coz i just posted a completly irrelevent reply to another post which was, maybe, slighly funny but not at all helpful, sorry!
As concerns Pete AKA 'Mr Burns' (i know he does not like that) AKA Flanker i do think he should stay, but on condition he buys a RIB within, say, 12 months. Let's face it, if one or more of us take him out on our RIB he'll love it so much he'll have the 'fuel guzzling sports boat' in the free-ad's before he even makes it home!
How about a little SIB Pete... You could become Pete <> Hart...
(Think that's relevent to this post so clicking submit now...)
Daniel

Scotty
We've got this section for off topic stuff. There are already jokes, Christmas messages, server stuff and discussions about digital cameras. Do we need more sections? I don't think that loads of different sections that are irrelevant to RIBs and ribbing will really add much to RIBnet. I would happy to be persuaded otherwise though, if it's what people want.
Daniel
Owning a RIB has never been a requirement to take part in these forums, and I'm unlikely to change this. Even for Flanker!
It was Flanker himself who suggested he ought to be banned . . .
John

Just got back from the LDS and .........
Met Pete (Flanker) there. From a VERY BRIEF encounter we had (I was busy shopping and thn had to get back to collect the children - wife working today) I can assure you that is a FIRST CLASS MAN. I believe that he does not deserve to get banned

JK
just take great pleasure in the thought that I will be attending the LBS possibly on Saturday
and will do my best to engrave the words ' Matiboy woz ere' in the transome of Flankers new boat with my discreetly hidden screw driver !!! LOL
The guy has caused a smile or two over the past few months, I'm sure he knows where he stands now
How will we know about what disasters are bestowed upon him in his adventures next season is his new boat ?
Also please no more threads, hard enough to keep up with all the existing ones !

JK, please bring him back. Afterall when he read this thread hopefully he will see that many have requested his return. Should he commit a major error of judgement then he would let down all those on this site who supported his return.
Currently I suspect he would be welcomed at any rib event we organise during the summer. However should he loose the friendship of the members then this would be a much greater punishment and permanent.
My vote therefore is to bring him back.
Regards Pete7
