Drysuits

Hello all

I'm looking to make some changes to my gear.

I have a crewsaver breathable drysuit thats currently fitted with thin rubber/latex socks. To save me wearing seperate boots Id like to replace them with a pair of Hard sole boots.

And I've just picked up a Musto suit for my eldest lad thats currently fitted with ankle seals. Id like to replace them with Hard Sole boots too, plus replace the neck seal.

Can anyone suggest a good source of the bits around the Pompy area.
I'd like to try doing the work myself, unless anyone can recommend somebody around Pompy that will do a good job at a reasonable price.

Many Thanks

Simon.

Nasher,

I have done a fair bit of dinghy sailing in the past, and gone through a number of dry suit seals. I have always used trident uks mail order for new seals and boots.
Neck seals are easy to do, I put the suit over a traffic cone to help lining up the new seal. Rings can be cut off the new seal to fit.

You could always try Beaver Sports use their search for Drysuit Boots (B2) or another option is get in touch with Brian Hammond I’m sure he will send you all you need. But the cheapest option is a pair of cut down wellies.

Nasher, if your looking for somewhere closer always had Andark replace my drysuit seals, but whoever you use do it soon, as the diving mob will be getting kit in for repairs from March onwards.

Cheers all

Phoned Andark this morning and had rather a shock at the total cost.

It looks easy enough to do yourself, so might get the bits in and have a go.

Try Hammond
http://www.hammond-drysuits.co.uk/
They make their own suits but can and will mod or repair suits from any one.
One of the suits I use is theirs with hard boots built in, very good.

Always worth a try.
