'ello again

'lo everyone. Thought I'd pop in and say hi now that I've got internet access again for a bit! On holiday in wonderful Manchester for 2 weeks. Arrived yesterday and I'm missing the Cambrian mountains already.

Missed anything exciting?

Matt

Narked welcome back, yes you missed lots, shame you couldn't make Ribex. Perhaps next year.

heya Matt....

thought you'd gone awol - been months!!

do you have transport now then? - if so you should have come down here for a couple of days, perfect rib weather, 4 metre swell, nice bit of chop.... sufficed to say I'm not out there

how are you doing anyway?.... any further progress on something with tubes on the sides now then?

-Alex

I sort of have transport, in the form of a girlfriend who drives, but still no car of my own. Shouldn't be far off though now, passed my theory several weeks ago, and my instructor is putting in for my practical when I go back to Aberystwyth. Until then I'm still relying on Amy or riding me bike.

As for progress towards getting my own RIB, it's going to be a while yet. What with having the rent to pay, bills, council tax (bloody rip off that it is, £45 per month, and what do I get for that? Bugger all. Not on mains sewerage, no street lights, nothing other than rubbish being picked up once a week), student girlfriend to help support etc. Once I actually do have a car, I then need to factor in insurance and running costs.

Still, in just under 2 years Amy will be a fully qualified nurse, so maybe then I'll get a boat

Shrewd man - best keep it that way - cheaper in the long run.

Welcome back mate. Was only thinking the other day had not seen you on line for a while.

Yup, that's what happens when you live in Wales, specially in a small village in the middle of nowhere.
