I don't think it is - though what happens when you stop is beyond me. If you look the foil is pretty long - think of it like pushing an oar down into the water.

Yeah I can see that. It'd be interesting trying to get from the beach to the rib though unless there was a platform on the beach you could 'launch' yourself from.
