Floating phone

Thought some of you would like to look at this JCB phone. Thought it was a good price for a waterproof floating sim free phone.

HI Andy

Waterproof yes, floating no.

I have the Landrover phone, which is a rebadged Sonim. It survived a busy first season very well, taking the knocks, drops and damp. The battery life is exceptional, but it is just a mobile phone. An Iphone it is not.

Regards
Steve

This is a 'new' one isn't it ? Says it floats in the blurb.... I'd be surprised though....

A test in a sink would be in order before I trusted it in anger.

I did get one of the hones that was the subject of the RIBNET epic buy thread. (Durrocom?) Worked well in some serious water in the summer - oddly to call Steves Landrover phone !

Not sure how good these phones are, but if your looking for one for the boat, go to tesco (other supermarkets available wink) and get a £12 sim free samsung flip phone, i swear its indestructable and if you loose it in the sea/river, you havn't spent a silly amount of money, this means very easy to replace.
