Flying low over the sea..

This thread made me think about the various military aircraft that follow the coast round the curve of Pevensey Bay, just over the sea and at low level. I don't know why, but they do!

I don't get a lot of warning so always manage to stop the props / rotors in the photos.

These were taken from the ground - the Apache could be heard but was hidden by the flags / flagpoles along the beach as it approached.

Reminds me of once at north coast of France, 2 Jets very low over the sea going faster than speed of sound, gone before we heard the massive roar
