Went for a walk round the track after the post race party and ended up in the pit lane garages watched them striping the cars must be justification for camping out in the mud for 4 days
Plenty of sports I don't get, wouldn't it be dull if we were all the same.
I've had a grid pass for the touring cars this year and have been most weekends, I love F1 but following a smaller series where you can up close and personal where you never could at a GP is excellent.
I love the technicality of F1 - how they put everything together 'perfectly', but for pure watching it has to be motoGP bike racing - more overtakes in 1 lap than an entire F1 weekend I'd guess .
ive been involved in rallying and rallycross and can say that rallycross has to be the fastest saloon car series in this country - usually 5 lap races with cars having double the power of wrc cars, i dont think there could be any question of if it will be exciting. sports like that you really can get up close - if you want to talk to multiple uk or european champion and look at their car then no problem, just do it. getting close to f1 is like getting close to royalty - its just not going to happen in a hurry!
