I don't know what tomorrow morning will show down here but the wind started to howl at about 5.30 and kept strengthening until about 9 pm when it was unbelievably strong, I see the Scillies had a gust of 93mph and its southerly, there are far more trees down and roads blocked than during the last big storm.

* I see the Tamar Bridge was closed to all traffic for 20 minutes, never heard of that happening before, and me and the bridge are the same age!
