I'm after a favour

I've just won an eBay auction for this:

DIRECTION FINDER VHF TAIYO COMMERCIAL DF TDL1630 | eBay

The seller's a nice chap, quite helpful but has been struggling to get this thing shipped to me for less than £150

I'm hoping someone might volunteer to take delivery of it and forward it on to me, ideally probably someone around Southampton who could drop it off at Huelin Renouf Shipping perhaps?

Beer tokens or anything else that I can do in return obviously in exchange for your time

I can get it delivered to anywhere UK mainland for £25 and the guy is already set up for that so it might be an issue that your in IOW.

Ideally it needs someone with a mainland address, hopefully someone else might help.

Feel free to get it sent to my office ..always open and I have clients in Southampton I 'need' to see so dropping it in is easy in the next week or two .. If timing works let me know.

I think the IOW is still classed as 'mainland' for postal delivery - unlike some Islands offshore ....

Despite the name I am not on the IOW but the mainland, I live just outside Warsash about 5 miles from Southampton. I could collect on Monday if you needed me to, just let me know if I can help.

Happy days, no need to collect, can get it delivered to your address. I'll fill out a consignment note online for HR, all you'd need to do is drop it at their depot at the docks.

Say Matt, i think i've got a couple of redundant 1.5 meter diameter sat domes kicking about in one of our storage units....they're empty (no one will kjnow that though as they walk past) but would look pretty cool either side of your DF antenna
