That may be the case, but if you look at the pre-tax fuel prices, the UK has some of the cheapest in the World. Therefore, we are being royally shafted at the pumps.

If it really is being increased for 'green reasons', why isn't the tax income being ring-fenced for environmental projects?

price of fuel

Comon Thorper, get with the plan. We need to bitch about such things, you know we have to pay for it anyway..

I have a cunning plan... lets use so much petrol that it rocks the balance of payments instead. then they will have to either lower the price or invade another country that has it.. It works for the USA.

We should all get 5-7 ltr cars. Then we could guzzle juice, even though we would never get out of 2nd gear without breaking the speed limit. We would have to creep up on the cars tho, cos if they hear us coming they start guzzling.

Anyone know the price of a gallon (Imperial measures worth) in USA?

Either that or we'll all end up boating under sail!

Fuel seems to be decreasing in price in the USA.
