giving the term "Destroyer" a new meaning
Found this footage today. Destroyer "Bavaria" caught by a storm in the North Sea off Den Helder, back in 1968. Liferafts, railing, turrets swept away.

Didn't look very rough for a vessel that size, all the damage must be down to poor build quality I should imagine.
