Go Pro live streaming

Got the WiFi bac pac for my hero 2 yesterday. I've got the iphone app working ok, but can't fathom the live streaming via the web. Anybody got this working & how?

My GP2 can only act as a wifi network, it can't connect to one, unlike my Somy NEX5 that can do everything except expose an image correctly.

Dunno, all the blurb says it can do it, but no mention of how. The website doesn't say "Coming soon" or such like. Maybe it's a wait & see job????

I haven't checked recently but I'm sure on the GoPro user forum - part of the GoPro website - I seem to recall it's a watch this space feature? I remember it being advertised but I've not seen anything about how to configure it.

Maybe only a Hero3 feature too?

It streams video to your phone/tablet - that's it!

Unless I'm wrong?

Yer not wrong.
I've got the streaming to the Ibone working fine, but according to the blurb, it's also supposed to live stream to the web for remote viewing, which opens up allsorts of possibilities As Leapy says, it's probably a case of wait & see.

There was some early H3 PR talk about streaming to the web. A GoPro thread says "coming soon", dated Feb 2012. Sounds more like not any time soon!

Can't find that on the GoPro website?

Edit: Found it with the help of Google:

Additional features include live streaming video from GoPro cameras to smartphones, tablets and directly to the web via a soon-to-be-released software update.

It's in a press release here: GoPro linky
