Yes there a magnificent predator, they feast on Puffin and Shearwater round here, Greater Black backs consume more shearwater though, annually taking 2.000 + from just one of the Islands, but numbers always return.
Lovely wife puts out bird food and we had a pair of Jays last year, they're back and have a couple of babies this year - very entertaining and good looking birds.
Yep they look real cute .... Just when the bead of my benelli gets under 'em .... And their family of friends mostly jack daws and crows and magpies here feking hate those maggies
The lads are clearly in training now for the big push south. Many more local pals are turning up for the training sessions. Not long now before it's 'see ya next year'. ;-)
