Electric but seems quite quick! (well from the bath tub test anyway!)

I have a glow version as well.....but I just never seemed to get it to run properly. It was brilliant it was water cooled and the water pick up was in the rudder just like a proper race boat. I must spend some more time on it because when it did go it went like stink!

I had a glow engine. I started it using a hand held electric starter motor. I tested this in my parents bath before taking her to the high sea's. Off she went into high revs 22,000 rpm roughly, I also forgot about the tell tail jet of water that shoots out and up from the rear deck. I was so busy hanging onto the boat I couldn't shut her off as I was my myself. In the end I managed to dislodge the fuel line from the tank.

When I stood up i nearly died, though the smoke filled bathroom half the contence of the bath was over the ceiling, walls, floor and me. A major cleanup ensued

My God that sound SO familiar - the castor oil made a fair mess as well.....

It was in the days of the Box Browni I'm afraid and didn't really think of taking photo's, just cleaning up the mess before I got into even deeper do-do.

I have one of me in the bath......If you're interested?

Still got a few lying around - will have to post some pics of the "pipedream" hull - wonder what it was splashed from??? It is a serious bit of kit and will cope with some big waves!!!

Also have a nice Spearfish/swordfish withan irvine .61 and a Perkasa MTB that I never finished!!!

Gave up on the boats because no way of recovering them when the engines cut - maybe I WILL have a way soon!!!
