For the first time in my life I supported Wales today.
No matter what your nationality - and I'm English - they totally deserved it.
Now - can we swap Brian Ashton for Warren Gatland............

Any wonder I hate the Daily Mail???
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1780
This is the main Rugby page - i would have thought Wales winning the Grand Slam would have been pretty newsworthy? NO - the main story is England beating Ireland and Wales is tucked away out of sight 1/2 way down the page - disgusting!!!
Wales was written off time and time again by the media as not having a chance etc................

Well done to the Welsh. However, the whole championship will have cheered up the Aussies and Kiwis no end after their RWC debacle. The standard of rugby overall was lamentable. The French were dire today, as were England last week. England only had to be average to get past the Irish. Wales have been consistantly good throughout. NZ would put 50pts on all of the 6 nations sides at the moment.

They were ok for an hour, then once Shane W scored, they fell apart - at that point, the championship was out of their reach and they seemed to give up.

Total inability to adapt game plan. It was painful to see 5 frogs lying on the floor with the Welsh stood up looking at them. Rolling mauls to commit defenders? Clueless.
