I just drove from Manchester back to Colchester. Drizzle in Manchester, torrential rain around Stoke, Birmingham and Coventry and now bright evening sunshine in Colchester!

When I was there (1980) Scotch Corner was a roundabout, a service station and a hotel. It was also on pretty high ground.

Global warming.

Maybe we'll soon get a Global wetting Tax.

Well, it took me 2 hours to make what should be a 45 minute journey on Friday afternoon...

I also discovered that a Rover 418SLD is NOT an aquatic vehicle...still, an oil change and a fuel system drain later and fingers crossed it SEEMS ok...

The weather god rules us all...

About six or so years ago we suffered through a similar weather pattern, rainy and cold, I remember finally taking my daughter to the beach in September, that really sucked! Hope you get some relief before the end of Summer. It has been very nice here almost all season, very little rain.

Incredible, usually by this time of year i'm well seasoned to beaches and spend most of my spare time on them, thats if i'm not out on my rib. This year so far ive been to north Devon half a dozen times and every time its rained, so its a question of quickly getting into the wet suit, spend a few hours in the sea, quickly get out of the wet suit and then drive home without spending any time relaxing on the beach, quite depressing really

This is what the water did on the way to my boat. Without the 4x4 I wouldn't have got to it-part of what you can see is 2 feet up in the air.

It's not going anywhere for at least a week now...

At least Dr Foster had more sense!!!

Doctor Foster went to Gloucester,
in a shower of rain.
He stepped in a puddle,
right up to his middle,
and never went there again!

Don't blame him.............
