Hallo!

Thx a lot!

Still thinking about Cape Horn. And working hard on that. I'll let know more, when I will be able to give more details. One company wants to make advertise RIBs and asked to prepare the trip on Borneo. Will see, if I'll be able to help them

Best regards!

PS. I have web site, www.wyzwania.px.pl, not updated lately and in Polish only (sorry!), but there is some pictures (have to click ZORKA5)

Great pictures, Arek. Whereabouts were you canoeing/kayaking? It looks amazing!

Any idea when the Cape Horn adventure may take place? Looking forward to hearing about it and seeing pictures.

South America - French Guyane. We went to make the Emerillion Route, but it was too difficult. We run out of food. For last two weeks we had been eating one fist of rice with one spoon of sugar per day for a person. Maybe You know the stroy of Raymond Maufrais, Frenchman, who disappered in the rainforest? We had been following his route. Because the jungle is so dense, we lost contact (no signal for satelite phone and GPS either) and our sponsors organised rescue expedition. But the problem was to locate us, so guys in Poland were waiting for any signal from us. At least we managed to came back without help from outside

Cape Horn - the best time is in January, February. If all will go as We think ("We" - because my friend will go with me ), We have chance to make in next year. In next week I'll have new project of the boat. 8,5 m. long. Open, without cabin ofcourse . The biggest problem I have with the engine. I need inboard 240 - 300 HP diesel, but is too expensive for me.
The boat will be built from totally new material; code name of the fibres is "X-fiber". Strong as kevlar, but much cheaper

Have to finish - time to go home CU tomorrow

Wow! Big respect to you. Do please keep us updated on the progress of your preparations and the expedition itself.

Do you have any details of your proposed route yet? How long do you expect it to take?
