Someone please tell me if this Stingray is a jet drive
Hope it's not a I/O as I suspect..
Even so, the sun comes out and the crazies start to appear
cheers Dal
Don't really think much of these typical Yank boats.
Yesterday I assisted a mate in recovering his Maxum 18' bowrider thing. He brought it across the bay in about a 3 or 4' chop. Had to keep the speed down to 15mph because it was getting such a hammering. A RIB wouldn't have even noticed the chop. I was shocked just how bad boats like this are - proof all the cupholders in the world don't make up for such a flat bottom!!!
-Edit- That does look like an I/O. Take a look at the engine cover, it's too far to the stern to be a jet drive. If it was a jet drive the engine would be further forward with a shaft going back to the jet-drive. I guess they don't realise that they need toes to walk!
Step to the head of the class for your stupid award.
I would guess that boat has to be an i/o.. It may be that they have their feet on a swim platform which cannot be seen in the picture making it somewhat less dangerous, not a smart move in any case. Who breeds these offspring?
