I was out late last night - drove across the Beacons in a full blizzard - no other vehicles in sight. It was brilliant - snow was already forming drifts a few feet deep. Really exposed up on the Roman Road!!! Discovery was brilliant as usual.

Its just about all gone now. Been raining all afternoon.

Not bad winter fitted in to one day. Bring on the spring and longer evenings now.

So, the 3-4 she got after lunch must have been a real treat.

I was expecting that but after lunch tomorrow I think all should be back to normal.

Should expect a few traffic accidents in the morning. Hopefully it will be idiots with jazzed up Peugeots and Citreons with fat bore exhausts, Halfords alloys and slick tyres. Just hope they don't hurt anyone other than themselves.

Alton Council

Tell you what you gotta to hand it to Alton Council, just saw about 3 mins ago a gritter lorry go passed gritting the roads, then followed by a road sweeper 2 mins later. Now where is the logic in that.

Its callled recycling.

Clever Council, they can say they've done their duty and gritted and they get to re use it again. I should ask for a refund on your Council Tax.

Welsh councils have an even better idea - they are using a new product which is sugar based - the sheep love it and eat off the road as fast as they can put it down - of couse they say it's good for the environment!!!

Snow is incredible now - whole of Swansea gridlocked and even the mobile netwroks are down with the sheer volume of calls.

all the chaos on the roads comes from the sheep - not the furry kind - who can't drive to save their lives. They have sent loads of people home early - now the roads are deserted - fab!!!
