Jono.
its just a phrase, kids or chavs "pub" about in their cars like idiots, driving aroung.
Car dealers do the same, only in their boats, they pub about in them.
There is nothing to understand, its just a local phrase.

And by coincidence, there was an outbreak of name calling yesterday in one of the threads. I've now deleted the offending posts, suspended one member indefinitely, warned a couple of others, and generally wasted more of my time on it than should be necessary.
If anyone starts posting abuse it's way better just to ignore it and send me a PM so I can deal with it. That way I don't spend ages unravelling the drivel from the sensible stuff the next day

Nicely edited.... but I saw what you put and I'll be quite clear why I won't "let it go".. You were rude, wrong and then refused the chance to apologise. I would have though that as a “trade member” you should at least behave with a modicum of diplomacy. You choose not to, so don’t expect any off me either.

Well here's another "fact" for you then... You were offensive and belittled people who questioned the figures in the RI test. You belligerently kept asking why we hadn't contacted Suzuki over the 8,100RPM figure when it was obviously wrong. You intimated that a well experienced RIBneter didn't know his arse from his elbow when he tried to find a reason for the glaring inaccuracy in the test.... and without a word of explanation to the people who questioned the results you announce there's going to be re-run of the test for the Suzuki. So, no quite frankly I won't "leve it there"... if you wish to do so that is up to you.. but seeing as you bought up "kids in the play ground", perhaps you could lead with an example of maturity and apologise for being so damned rude when you were wrong?
