HMS Southampton

I know you all are a wonderful resource so does anyone have pictures of HMS Southampton showing the damage she suffered in a collision with the MV Torbay whilst on patrol in the Gulf of Oman in September 1988.

She was brought back to Portsmouth on the back of the heavy lift ship Mighty Servant 1, much like the way HMS Nottingham was brought back after her grounding.

HMS Southampton

Did you get your photos of HMS Southampton showing the damage after her altercation with th MV Torbay. I was on the Diligence, stationed in the Gulf (Dubai) when she was hit and we had to scramble to assist.

We managed to get her back to Dubai, can't remember how, where she sat for a while having the hole patched up. I have some photos of the bridge and the damaged side.
