Oh my god I thought I was going to be the only person that had one of these but you beat me to it!! Your right as well with 160bhp boy did they fly but mine just wouldn't stop, three fast corners and the breaks had overheated and turned to sponge!

After the citroen BX I'll admit it I had a series 2 Escort RS turbo, tweaked to bits dyno'd at 170bhp and lethal torque steer on anything but a bone dry road.

I know it's not a hot hatch but had a Subaru legacy RS after that, best car I've ever owned bar none! 280bhp sequential twin turbo so hardly any lag at all,4 wheel drive and stuck to the road like sh1t to a blanket, never lost to anything in it (on the track of course your honour)!

Ahh those were the days.....

I had Mk1 and Mk2 Golf GTI's ... also dabbled with a Polo G40, it was supercharged 1.3ltr that had been messed with. No brakes, went like stink but handles like a jellyfish on acid!

Some great cars! bring back a lot of memories...

SUZUKI SWIFT 1.3 GTI

RENAULT 5 GT TURBO Put it on its roof, that was the end of that!

AUDI A3 3.2 V6 QUATTRO Was like a rocket and stuck the road like glue.

Now Nissan Navarra !

We store a Opel Monza for a customer. You would swear it was brand new. He only takes out it for shows in the summer. Caught him the other week with the bumper off cleaning the mounts with a toothbrush!

feeling my age on this one and suspect most of you will need the pic, however...
Austin 1300 'GT' (which qualifies it for this thread!) with spotlights and vinyl roof
mine was blue, which made it much faster.

several friends had some of the above. Mk2 golf 16v was always fun, 8v with high lift cams supposed to be better. Corrados looked great. Always lusted after a nova sr in the day as my nova with a whole litre was over used!

Mine was eventually a S3 (225) Quattro - awesome tow car for the ring 18, and worth the wait. Then cometh the children and all change.

I got my first car in 1981, hence paying just over quid a gallon. It was a ford Cortina 1.6L

Chris, with a boat name like yours you must surely remember 'Put a TIGER in your tank'?
