I agree. Snow grip is something the witches conjure up, much more a black art than prop selection . I had a new all singing all dancing Disco come up my track last week end, slipping and sliding and eventually got seriously stuck. The only way it would grip was to dig it out right down to the earth. Took three hours! Good job I was needin the exercise.

I've had a number of cars over the years, some were remarkable for their snow grip, some were absolutely dire. It's trickery.

Why would air-suspension be a misnomer? Plenty chatter on the forums on the cost of replacement air-shocks on 2001-2005 Allroads. Couple of options, either replace with new air shocks or go for spring conversion. Neither are cheap, especially if Audi stealership is doing the work. I wouldn't give 'em the steam off my ****!

I used to have a genuine Japanese Suzuki SJ410 van. Drove it along General Wade's old military road near Fort Augustus in a convoy of 5 off-road vehicles. Talk about punching above it's weight. That convoy included a Land Rover 90TDi, Jeep Wrangler petrol 4.0 (drank like Oliver Reed), Diahatsu Fourtrak Independence 2.8TDi and Isuzu Trooper 3.0TDi. Apart from one or two bits where I needed the torque of diesel, it managed the trip. The following week the rear wishbone broke!

...nearly completely melted 24 hours ago there was perfect coverage. Only our igloo and isolated patches of shadow are left on the fells now. Just been out for a quick 8 mile run, ground is very soft and the rivers are extremely powerful with all the meltwater

Any one had any problems with the low tempretures recently damaging boats ,engines or equipment ,
i pulled of the covers from one of my boats this afternoon an noticed an air bubble in my Silva 70 compass and the fluid leaking out ,,cannot complain as i bought the compass way back in 1983 and its been faultless in all those yearsl,so was just wondering and as a precaution for others to perhaps remove some items indoors for the winter ,

Here in Clanfield on the edge of the South Downs we hadn't had any when I went to bed about 01.00hrs this morning, then by 06.30hrs it was coming down really well.

We ended up with about 6 inches.

After checking the boat was still tucked up nicely I took the D3 out for a quick blast up round the lanes around Butser Hill, but myself and the smaller Nashers also had a bit of fun in the garden.

I went to a large empty carpark and did some Doughnuts in the snow with the kids today. When I was telling my 83 year old father what we did later in the day, he was looking a little confused and wanted to know where the Doughnut van was

Loved the snowmen guys this is what I miss now the kids have grown up but now that I have a grandaughter who at the mo is 11 weeks, snowmen, snow permitting will be on my list of jobs to do in another year or so . Can't wait .

Yeah, I was in hysterics at him. Bear in mind it took me nearly a minute of following him before the clip started,including him swinging through nearly 180 degrees coming out of his parking space.

I got told off by Tesco security for doing doughnuts in a large empty area of the carpark. I can't do them in 4 wheel drive though. Is yours the same, just drifting sideways a bit if you boot it?
