How to dispose of a 23' GRP yacht?
As per the title.
A friend has a Halcyon 23 on his land that's been abandoned. It's utterly derelict. The trailer tyres are cracked and the trailer ist exactly healthy.
How do you dispose of something like that? It's complete, but has been standing so long that the woodwork is crumbling to dust.

I thought that, but it's in a horse paddock and can't be cut up in situ.

Can you drag it out and then cut it up? Best to check with waste company that they can take GRP because some landfill sites can refuse it. Amazing how flat pack you can make a 23' boat with a chainsaw!

Take the top off it and sink the hull in the paddock as a horse paddling pool?
Seriously though:
Petrol Disc cutters are good at cutting up GRP and discs are cheaper than chainsaw chains. The dust is finer and can be sucked away whereas chainsaw chips are a pain to clear up

Can you not stick it on ebay for a quid and hope someone buys it, therefore taking it away and making it an SEP?
SEP, see Douglas Adams HHGTTG

That is exactly what I would do. Nothing lost and you will probably be surprised what it actually sells for.

If you've got an inland dive site near you offer it to them, they will sink it as an underwater attraction. Our local quarry has just paid £150 for an old fletcher speedboat, if you'd been closer they would of taken it willingly!

Put a 'FOR SALE' sign on it with an asking price - secured with a visible padlock, and someone will be sure to nick it!

It'd make a lovely addition to your garden , and you could use it as a sandpit punishment room.
