Hummer H2 offroad

Just spotted this video - the H1 Hummer is pretty good but of course the one most people drive on the road is the H2.

When I saw this video I was shocked just how bad it really was - I have driven Land Rover discoverys over much worse than this with no damage at all. My Defender is a lot more capable again.

You know the H2 is made from other SUV parts in the GM lineup. In otherwords they SUCK.

Yup - think it's based on the Chevvy Tahoe isn't it?

Today's the first time I have tried google vids - not bad.

Did a search for Camel Trophy stuff but couldn't find any - nobody would EVER doubt a Landie offroad if they watched one of those!!!

Well Codders

Seems the car is no better than the driver

Rogan and Coddes.....

Regarding how they built the car. And of which parts, why don't you use Google a bit more, or try to ask the people who actually knows how the car is built.

If any of you succed in finding the build plan for the Hummer, try to find out how much is from an exiting car f.eks. the Chevvy Tahoe, you might be surprised. I would guess that 1-2 % is high.

Hint look at dimensions

You are probably 100% correct, but as you have no doubt noticed that this thread is discussing a H2 and not a Hummer.

Unlike this poor bugger at the Bures off-road complex this afternoon!! Terminally cross-axled but nothing a few blows from a large hammer couldn't fix Shogun damage was more expensive Ribnet's 'Nofear' brought his bog standard Series 3 which was awesome, while my RR raised a few eyebrows among the Land Rover Monthly cognoscienti

up in the nw, toyota landcruisers are the trail rig of choice. of course i might be slightly biased very reliable.

although i do love d90's. they are much more expensive in the states though.

i don't know if h2's are put together from tahoe parts, but i do know that they are very shiny, and pretty girls drive them

h1's.....drooool.

Looks like they also had the sense to turn the engine off before the snorkel went under.

I thought there was only 1 bloke in it - couldn't believe it when the other one popped up!!!

Wonder what lives in those swamps since Chernobyl???

You ever tried getting out of a 4-point harness fast when you can't see? Something tells me they got out as fast as they could...

yes i have. i crashed my whitewater jet boat in the world championships 5 years ago. it split in half and went to the bottom. in the rapids! i couldn't see, i was dizzy from the boat flipping at 80mph, had a 2 inch peice of my visor stuck into my eyball and what do you know... i clicked that button REALLY fast.

i have the crash on video. some guy caught it on tape and sold it to fox sports, travel channel, espn etc. i have to convert it from vhs to disc though.

well all is healed now except for some scars and one eye ever so slightly lower than the other. i had double vision for six months! well mostly when i had a beer or two. really

codders you nailed it. my son was born 18 days after that and things have calmed down quite a bit for me.

i'll get it converted soon and put it on here.
