Hurricane Barney.

...is going to get an invoice for wood!

Our woodburner is drawing like a furnace. I'm chucking wood on like a fireman on a loco.

We're showing 45mph Westerlys down here tonight.

Get yourself a flue damper

We've been getting it tight up here for a week, and its set to get worse.

I've shut off the primary air completely, that has slowed it a tad.

they don't seem to last more than a couple of seasons before they compress & leak. Easy enough to change

Its not a hurricane, the met office have started naming storms for sensationalism and you know how the English love to talk about the weather and turn any minor weather event into a news item...

I know you love irritating facts P., so here's a couple:
  1. They're not necessarily even storms in the true sense
  2. They're named jointly by the Uk and Irish Met offices
  3. The next "storm" will be called "Clodagh". I'm looking forward to hearing the UK presenters announce that one...

It won't last long, the BBC have dropped the Met Office as their weather provider. Apparently the contract has gone to either a Dutch or New Zealand company, go figure 😏

AI DON'T BELIEVE IT!!

You'll be getting your weather straight from Johnny Foreigner? They'll never manage precisely the right sort of drizzly p1sh! Even the wind will have a slight hint of garlic on it...

In that case with the BBC (US?)...still picking up the Tab we can expect a whole Spectrum of Scents-Fragrance and Flavours from all over ....just to keep it "Ballanced and impartial"
Really don't need the MET office...or "Johnny Foreigner" to tell which way the wind is blowing over here!

Conveniently, we have four separate 150ft windex (wind turbines) visible from the kitchen. Ideal for beach selection.

Another going up today, a few fields away I've noticed.
