Hurricane warning UK
The wind is howling here in Pembrokeshire at the moment, at 11:30 this morning I advised my wife to phone our boys school, and request if she could pick up our lad early because of the Huricane warning forcast around 15:00, usuall pick up time. Wife said the headmaster did think she was being a bit over cautious, "look the sky is blue, this will miss us" he says, but allowed collection at 11:45. At 12:30 school send text to all parents saying "don't worry all children safe inside, pick up as usual 15:30". But the blue skies where getting much darker soon after that text, At 13:30 school sends another text, Please could all parents pick up your children asap, by this time they realised my wife and the weather man wasn't lying. by this time it was very very very windy. Why do some people leave things to the last minute to act on warnings?
Do take care if your in the path of this one.

After the worst had passed this afternoon, I nipped out to see how lumpy things where. with my crappy old sony cam, so pic quality isn't good.
The second video, not mine, is from the 8th and is cracking quality.

I collected a boat from Swansea yesterday. It was horrible. We were getting a sea trial but clearly that wasn't going to happen. They cancelled the Wednesday lift out but luckily they took it put on Tuesday instead. We got up there at 9:30 and were glad to be leaving. The drive home was a bit windy mind
