Great boat handling, I have no idea if you would ever get passed the health and safety and insurance in the UK to run a boat in that sort of climate

Biggers, if it's the upper Clyde yer for, you should seriously think Redbay. They're doing machinegun mounts again for someone else, so they might do you a discount....

Strewth! That makes drift fishing through the middle of the Portland Race look like old mans sport.

Its not lead we need to throw at them ... its Big Macs they find the beef patties with McD's southwest sauce and finely chopped onions irresistable .. perhaps Redbay could knock up a Clyde 'special' .. 'big boy' .. 110mm .. blimey were back to drain pipes and spud guns again

hmm.. I feel a bit hungry myself

Been to Quuenstown and we opted for the longer ride on the River Dart at the other end of the lake, they still throw the boats around a bit but not so much. You actually get off the boat and have a walk through some of the amazing countryside where they have been filming hobbits and other furry animals! Check it out!

Me and the wife went on the Shotover in 2001, really was tremendous fun. A week later it hit the canyon wall, and put some Aussies in Hospital.

Looked into starting to do jet boat tours like NZ
First insurance companies just laughed loudly
Then council h&s official laughed louder
Then talked to enterprise company they said nobody would be interested in taking this type of trip in Scotland, this comment I found more offensive than the first two as these guys are meant to know what's going to work and what's not
I now own a sea safari company and I am always asked on every trip to go faster!!

We chose to go on the Dart River trip too and would definitely recommend it. The other one we did was the Haast River Safari which was also excellent http://www.haastriver.co.nz/ more safari than white knuckle ride but it really goes to some fantastic places.

Fair point, 30 yrs and 1.75 million passengers. I bet there's been more fatalities on your local buses! Low bridges and double dockers!
