I-Lifeboat UK - New Independent Lifeboats Portal

We are a collaborative effect of volunteer crew members of independent lifeboat rescue organisations through the United Kingdom to promote the independent lifeboat cause and discuss weekly callouts and incidents happening on British shores.

The old independent-lifeboats.org.uk has been restarted a-fresh with the same crew members and admin staff, apart from a new webmaster from solent rescue http://www.solent-rescue.org.uk

Please change your links and bookmarks to the new site http://www.i-lifeboat.org.uk

50 years ago I founded the League of Venturers Search and Rescue who showed the
value of a fast inflatable boat actual out on Patrol in contact with the Coast Guard ,
from which example the I Life Boat has grown and without which the RNLI and Coast
Guard could never cope with some 1200 incidents alone in the Solent .
I have a story of our development , the use of Water Jets lots of action pics would
you be interested . Philip Pearce-Smith MBE

Agreed. Reading the entire article reveals that Tiffy's health hasn't been the best these last few years and in light of that, I'm closing this thread.
