Interesting Boat on the Itchen

This has appeared on the River Itchen in the last couple of months.

I quite like the patrol boat look but what is interesting is the 'port' on the back appears to be Ulaanbaatar which is the capital of Mongolia, the most landlocked country in the world.

It seems to be owned by Ambrey, a security firm based in Hereford.

Yep, like that.

There's a small chance it's around for Seawork, which is on this week.
I'm there Thursday morning so will keep an eye out.

Ambrey have an operation in Southampton; they refit various patrol vessels there before sending them off for duties elsewhere in the world. I've done some work for them in the past, a very interesting setup. This will no doubt be waiting for a refit.

Passed it last Monday in the Itchen with a pilot boat approaching while it was seemingly still. Looked a little more live aboard when we passed with washing out, etc.
