Internet explorer problem again
Just a warning I have read tonight that internet explorer has again another major problem leaving users vulnerable to security issues. I have just switch to google chrome, this is not affected and neither is firefox as search engines
"Microsoft has issued a 'critical' security alert that affects 900million people using its Internet Explorer web browser.
The glitch is so severe it potentially affects every user of Internet Explorer.
Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari browsers are all unaffected by the threat because, unlike Internet Explorer, they don't support MHTML files, where the problem lies"

It's annoying when people use Internet Explorer. All my family still use it because it's been the default browser for years, but people need to investigate.
It is slow to load and the layout is out dated.
Internet Explorer 9, however, is on it's way out and apparently they've fixed a hell of a lot of the problems with it.
I use Chrome or Firefox though and am not interested in changing.

I've never had any problems with Microsoft IE. However perhaps it's time for me to try a different one.
I really don't like change but which one of the alternatives has the most similar layout to Microsoft IE?
I also did a quick search of best Internet explorers and Opera came out tops on a lot on searches. Any good?

which version of IE ?
The look of 8 and 9 is different to others. the cleanest/ simplest look in my opinion is Chrome.

9 hasn't been released yet.
It can be fine, I just have a problem with loading times et all.
Google Chrome is so much faster, but isn't without it's detractors.
I use Firefox at work due to better plugins and extra features, but use Chrome at home.
If I see a friend using internet explorer, I immediately tell them off.

I'm like you Andy I have used IE 8 since it came out and have never experienced any problems, admittedly Chrome is good but I have no reason to move from something that has served me well in all its editions for years.

I have been using IE all the way. I have a beta of 9. I have been using it for a couple of months. Loads fast but still has few bugs they need to iron out. As long as you stick with the automatic updates, you should be fine.
I would be aware of Google and the Chrome regime. You are doubly "profiled", by using the google search engine AND thier browser.
As an experiment, I ran a version of W7 beta for about a year with IE8, no virus checker or spybot crap. Not a problem. As long as one is aware of the sites you are on and what stuff you download, things sould be fine.

That's a bit worrying. So, what you're saying (if I understood correctly) is that someone knows I spend ALL day on RIBnet, Googling ribby stuff?
My game is up

Firefox with Noscript and Adblock Plus plugins installed gets rid of pretty much anything nasty. Sites don't get to run scripts unless you OK it first and banner ads disappear as if by magic
