Jacket waterproofing?

I need to re-waterproof my jacket.
Whats the best stuff to use? I remember reading that lenor (fabric conditioner) worked well.

Think you're right about the fabric conditioner i remember reading a 'wash in' waterproofing test in 'Trail' magazine a few years back & it performed nearly as good as all the £5 a go stuff?

waterproofing

I'll have to have a look to over the weekend but i know where my trail mags are stockpiled cos they're hiding my treasured collection of 70's porn There must be something more to it than just rinsing in the machine because i tried it once and it didn't seem to work that well, let you know if i find it, regards AL
