Jobs - northwest
I lost my job yesterday due to the current economic climate :-(
I had my own small business but the company I was contracting for is having cash flow issues
I appreciate this is a long shot but worth a try, but does anyone know of any current job vacancies within a 50 mile radius of Warrington, Cheshire
Obviously I will register with agencies etc

You might want to tell people what your skills / areas of expertise are...

Good idea Poly
Basically I've ran a small wholesale distribution business for the past six years, supplying retail shops around the northwest, which has involved face to face sales, customer service, purchasing stock, canvasing new business, cash handling and general warehouse duties
Previously I was a sales/retention advisor for O2

Sorry you lost your Job. I know how you feel mate as I was only made redundant from my job last week. Get your CV and details uploaded to Jobsite and a few others online as all my job offers came from agencies phoning me up on the strength of that.

Sorry to hear that. If your not already on it get yourself on linkedin make sure you have a credible job profile and have invited people to join you bit like a professional facebook. It is not the most proactive way of finding jobs like joining agencies but there are always recruitment scouts on there trying to poach people.
Best of luck

I've edited your work history....never underestimate the power of your CV - its the one thing that gets you infront of people you have never met or spoken to before.. am sure you get the idea..
Having been where you are several times I feel for you - things always work out though.

Actually don't know why I didn't think of this but my sister heads up the Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) devision for a company called BMS they specialise in sales recruitment. PM with your number and I can get her to contact you but only once you have your CV done. I use them they are different to most recruitment agencies as they interview you first at their offices and actually give a sh!t. I have got my last three jobs through them. I am not biased but they have a great reputation

Agreed that sounds much better Peter, thank you. I will find a job but its a race against time as I'm currently renting a house, as my ex and kids live in my old place
Basically I'll take almost any job to pay the bills till I find something suitable

no probs . Depending on what you want to do / jobs you go talk to people about - 'powerboating' of course shows you have experaince of dynamic risk assesment in a high risk situation where you are directly responsible for safetly and wellbeing of others ( or - bugger me thats a big wave - I'm slowing down or I'll bounce the kids out the boat ! ) ..
Best of luck - and of course 'take any job' is always 'trying something differant/ having a break from chosen speciality' when you get to an interview !
Jobs are out there - just dont sell yourself short ...I've been where you are now..it'll get sorted
