Le Grand Bleu

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Grand_Bleu_(yacht)

This is one of Abramovich's ex-yacht's. It's in Falmouth at present, it has a 60ft Oyster yacht on deck and a 60ft Fairline tender!!

The davits to lift the pair on deck are immense. I'll remember to take a camera out tomorrow.

Abramovich 'gave' it to his mate. His yacht 'Pelorus' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelorus_(yacht) was in Fal a couple of years ago, that was the size of a cross channel ferry.

We managed to forget our camera again today. The Fairline was out 'punching' around Pendennis point this afternoon. There was a lumpy S/Westerly sea running

.. I dont think a large lottery win would help me convince him to part with that even if I wanted it .. these men must have incomes the same as small countries to run that sort of gear

Isn't it amazing how the heads of a communist state took so rapidly to capitalist methods? And to think of all the people in the UK who looked up to Russia and communism as it looked after the working man.........

"Heads''? The heads sold off the former state run industries to the 'dodgy money' as they were the only people in a position to buy.

Not only the heads but people high up in the system - loads of them are ex party members - KGB - Spetznaz etc etc.

Abramovich himself only got where he is because of Boris Berezovsky who was a mate of Yeltsin!!!

The Russkis don't need to charter their boats out I suppose.

I got pretty close and someone with loads of kids aboard was within 40' of it and nobodys ignition was killed.

There was this guy in the Bugle that reconned that there was "clear laser" technology that burns out Paps lenses on Abramovich's new Yacht.

Yeah, it was here years ago. A local Land Rover repair guy was going to sh*t wonders with it, but didn't really have the dough. It's Donald Campbells old boat obviously.
