Good for you Oldman2
Earlier this year I became a member of the unfortunate Club that you are a member of.
I echo the words you said about the NHS.
Get well soon my friend.

Yep good to hear and home pretty quickly too.
Re the NHS dad's bladder cancer was diagnosed just as the pandemic started and the speed of his treatment plus quality of care has been exceptional given the pressures they are under.

Fantastic news you are home so quickly and ready for a bit of fettling! All hail the NHS. Clearly you’ve got the ‘power’ of this forum behind you so rest, recuperate and absorb the good wishes from all.

In tumour talk I had my tumour scrapped off and sucked out for biopsy, then had an hour of a Chemo drug doing its work.
Got to admire out NHS with the staff all almost running around due to shortages of man/women power they still make you feel like its all there for you. I managed to get to come home today and now need to wait 3 weeks for the review of my biopsy.
Again thanks for the kind words, a few days rest and i'm back to fettling anything as long as the wife is not looking.

Well, it does sound more painful than boat ownership when you put it like that. . Fingers crossed for three weeks time. Try not to give the better half too much to be annoyed about.

Hey thanks for asking, I managed to bring an infection home with me from Hospital and cooked that up for a few days before getting some antibiotics to kick it out. I'm feeling almost my old self now though I'm still banned from hedge trimming on ladders by the wife
My biopsy results and my prognosis will be given to me this Thursday, I did try to get the biopsy result early but I failed in my back door attempts
So, I am positive the news will be good and the wife will then let me become the man I was before this incident, the man who took little notice of her and climbed the ladder regardless.
It was so nice here today for boating.

my bladder cancer, It was from the biopsy a low risk, low grade cancer and different to the prostate cancer I had before so it didnt migrate. They removed it all and I need the camera job in 3 months, then 6, then 12 months to make sure the chemo killed it off completely.
So dodged the bullet for a second time I hope.
Many thanks for the support, I may just get the boat wet before winter yet!
