Lightship off Cowes

Anyone know why this is anchored off Cowes and what the history might be?

Not sure no names attached, and the web states"The lightvessel is still in the Trinity House fleet at St. Gowan station " It is on a trinity Buoy mooring which you would expect

It replaced the channel LV following a collision earlier in the year

Some of your "good 'ole boys" parked a bloody great aircraft carrier in the Solent a few months back. I think someone pointed out that we are the good guys & not to shoot us......... for a change, as it's impolite to fire on the natives, especially in their own backyard.
